Is it the end of the world or the beginning of everything?

It is true that change often begins with destruction but this is also a time for rebirth and recreation. Not so much a spiritual awakening, as a shift in consciousness from a society based on the individual, to a society based on collectivity.

The year 2012 stands for a societal renaissance, a coming of age as a driving political force: the realization that our personal power is multiplied to the nth fold when we unite with like-minded individuals.

Since the onset of the Internet, we have all woken up one day to find we have been blessed with superpowers: omniscience, omnipresence. We have become, more than ever, godlike. I can “see” what is happening anywhere across the world, at any given time. I can dive into the Collective Consciousness and pick up on world-wide trends. I can speak any language. If anything, this gift of immediate wisdom should be proof of our higher purpose and our capabilities.

We need to realize that sharing is power. And the Internet is the most powerful sharing tool we have ever had, since the dawn of humanity. Only now can we benefit so directly from others’ experiences and integrate them into our own lives, while being spared the strenuous process of years of study and acquisition of personal experience.

Many of our most trusted institutions are falling apart, and this can be frightening. But if you take a closer look, you will see that the institutions that are crumbling are the ones that have been based on fear, separation, ignorance and conflict.

In a world that is always connected and wide awake, there is no place for hidden agendas. We may be losing our privacy as individuals, but that is only the first step on the way to Total Transparency. Congruence = Credibility. This is why so many of our beloved institutions are crumbling around us. Everything is being brought to light; there are no dark corners left for hipocrisy and incoherence to hide.

The thing of utmost importance is this: everyone and everything that is aligned with this new frequency will survive. Everything else will be lost. We cannot take back the Internet, our newly-found collective wisdom and connectedness. We need to step into the light and let ourselves –individuals, brands, governments and corporations- be seen for what we truly are. Only then can we deal with issues that have been hidden in the dark for ages. The light is expanding faster every day and soon there will be no place to hide. This is an amazing opportunity for growth, to teach each other how to improve both as individuals and as societies.

The greatest trend will be –and already is– a significant increase in Transparency, Cocreation and the recognition of the Collective as power and wisdom. This is already happening, in baby steps: I see proof of this in online gaming. Crowdsourcing. Worldwide viral phenomena and trends.

The transition will take different shapes in different regions. For example, the US has tended to glorify personal power, the triumph of individual will over reality in the construction of dreams. But the people of the US surrender their power when they fail to embrace their cultural differences. They have felt safer in ostracizing those who seem different, in pointing out who is “right” and who is “wrong”. In labelling others, our own personal power is lost. For who can I side with, who can support my dream if we are all so different from each other?

Mexican society has the opposite problem. We are a big, noisy family that feels good when it gets together. We have always been know for our solidarity, our hospitality as a collective. But we have no faith in our individual power. We have been taught that we cannot compete with our own government, never mind the rest of the world, and that we are never strong enough to generate significant change. We need to realize that we do have the power to shape reality, and that it is that much easier when we cooperate instead of tear each other down.

I think it was Barbara Marx Hubbard who said: “Everything is getting better and better, worse and worse, faster and faster.” It’s time we realize it’s no longer about choosing sides: there are no sides. We Am only One.

Dear All,

Early this Sunday morning I was awakened by words dancing in my head and in my mouth and I knew they couldn’t wait to be published. It’s taken me longer than I hoped to write my first post on our blog but now I know I will have to make the time for the words that keep coming. Hope this speaks to you as it does to me.

Speeding towards insanity

the thin veneer of civilization

drops away like a plunging knife

If the sun rises tomorrow

so might we

the ghost children of our parents’ hopes and dreams

reborn out of the ashes of a greedy youth

and into the blazing fire of awareness

It is time to dream a new dream

one we will never wake screaming from

but can live with eyes wide open

There are holy days ahead of us

life and death dance delicately

nothing unnecessary will survive

but there is nothing to fight

Choices made now are amplified by the streamlined Universe

infinitely

wisely

What gifts will we bear to the new birth of One?

One Light,

Carmen

Here’s a short one, in more ways than one.

“Too much input” could be the most basic definition for modern western life. There’s way too much stuff being shot at our attention: too many people, too many events, too many waves bobbing up & down while we try to breathe above the surface. News, calls & messages from friends, unwanted telemarketers, advertisements in print, online, and in your soup, annoying blog posts like this one… Ayayayyy!!!

In the midst of this never ending overload, we can always benefit from a mental exercise that is so simple, it may seem archaic (and even futile) to some. At any given time during the day STOP whatever you’re doing and close your eyes. Sit (or stand) in a comfortable position, and for approximately 30 seconds clear your mind completely. Don’t think. Don’t worry. Don’t count your breaths. Don’t move. Just BE.

When you feel like it open your eyes and look around you. Notice if there’s any difference between the way you see your surroundings now from what you saw before the exercise.

This will help you to listen to the silence within that gets lost so easily in the daily din. When we open up to that silence we are better able to hear our inner voice and thus are able to find better solutions to any situation we may need to resolve, or perhaps get the knowledge that maybe we don’t have to. Repeat as necessary throughout the day.

Get in the habit of doing this daily and you’ll feel a noticeable difference in your emotional, mental, and perhaps even your physical state. It’s like a fresh swim for your whole being.

Please leave your feedback after doing it. Would love to know how it works for you.

Stay conscious,
Carli.

Welcome to 2009, the best year-in-the-making so far. With a new calendar to fill and a pristine canvas of 365 days and nights (ok, by this publishing a few less than that), we are ready to paint the Life we want by doing what we love and loving what we do.

We got through 2008 and its ample helping of peace & war, generosity & greed, enlightenment & creationism, a newly elected U.S. President, a musically brilliant but disgracefully mixed Metallica album, and choices accurate & blunderous by just about everyone on the Planet. Good and bad news have come and gone, but if you’re reading this, the fact is that we’re still here. The day has arrived to wake anew with fresh plans and, even more importantly, an unshakably positive attitude.

The best way to get 2009 rolling fast and strong is to set up a plan of action that will keep us moving toward the Life we want and away from complaints, finger-pointing, and getting stuck under dark clouds of bad news. And let’s not call this “new year’s resolutions“, as this word has been redefined as “yeah-right” by years of being forgotten long before February arrived. I purposefully publish this during the second week of the year as an ass-kicker, since many resolutions have likely been forgotten already.

Let’s call these Goals for 2009, since goals tend to actually get done. As we see them today, resolutions are diets that never started on Mondays that passed by unnoticed or unconscious, whereas goals more often than not become realized dreams that exist outside of someone’s head. A specific list of goals to achieve will be the compass to follow while Earth embarks on its next turn around the sun. This will be our North Star on the way toward what we truly want to be, do, and have.

The first step is to list and assess our values, or what is most important to us. This will put our interests into perspective and prioritize the top few things that we are passionate about. This can range as widely as spending time with the family, developing one’s career, helping neighborhood kids with social activities, or eating a PBJ sandwich under a tree wearing neon green undies. They should be placed in order of importance, with the most important at the top. A list of five to 10 should be enough.

An important guideline to follow is to write and order these as we actually value them, as opposed to what we think our values should be. This is very important.

Once we have our values on paper (or screen, although I recommend handwriting) we write down the specific activities we want to be involved in that resonate with the present and future we want. Include deadlines for each goal. If a goal will take longer than a year, slice it up into smaller ones that you can do within this year. As an added measure for motivation we can include the reasons why each of these goals is important to us. Also, make sure they are stated in the positive, rather than the negative. For example, “Spending at least four evenings with the family every week” works much better than “I don’t want my family to complain about my working schedule”. State a solution, not a problem.

There’s a magical correlation between writing down goals and their accomplishment. Most highly successful people will attest to this, and I have to say that it’s also worked for an average Joe like myself.

When both lists are complete we can compare whether they correlate or not, and make modifications so that they are aligned. The more these two lists are in harmony with each other, the more fulfillment we will obtain as we work toward their fruition: the time spent working on our goals will equal the time spent on the things that are most important to us. This may seem like a “Duh!” statement, but it’s so simple that we neglect to see and apply it. As Walt Whitman said, “Truth is simple. If it were complicated everyone would understand it”.

After making both lists, read them twice every day. Repetition is one of the best ways to make something “stick” in our memory. This will keep our goals at top-of-mind, while fears and worries will drop in priority (or even fall away). When your mind is focused on what you want, there’s little room for anything else, and motivation grows so that you move toward your goals. This is not to say that we’ll ignore the current financial and global situation altogether, but that when we work toward what we truly are passionate about, our experience of life changes dramatically. We can use global information as part of our map for the year, as a guide for detours, for example. And there really is no failure, unless we quit.

In addition to having a concrete set of goals, an unwavering, positive attitude is the other most important tool to wield while carrying out our plan. Beyond any other attribute or skill, attitude is the foremost progenitor of success. When our plan is multiplied by an “I can”, “this is cool” attitude our actions shift toward these goals with much stronger momentum. We begin to create circumstances that generate the resources we need to achieve them. Other people with similar goals and attitude are attracted to us (ask: which attitudes would I like to attract?). Roadblocks become learning points. Getting up after a downturn becomes much easier.

Rise above last year and its paradigms. They’re done.
Just like our goals will be when 2009 rolls off the calendar next January.
And good luck; remember that we create our own.

Stay conscious,
Carli.

Hello again, everyone!

Since you last came by we’ve had some productive weeks here in Sexy Mexi. We’ve been working, exercising, visiting old friends & family, getting sick, getting better, singing & photographing funk & blues shows, making new friends, and wondering what to write to get your thirsty eyes & mice back at the blog.

I’ve decided to write another quick post this time; actually one without even a central line of thought. This one’s a selection of short phrases and simple insights that I’ve come up with during the past few years, and they come to you directly from my little brown book. The black one is neither full nor interesting enough yet.

These are all original, and I kindly ask that if anyone copies or uses them that due credit is given to the author (yours truly) in every case. A link to this post/blog would be nice too.

You may agree with them or think they’re total nonsense. Either way I don’t care. I just want to share them with you. I think they’re cool, so there.

Carli’s Short Cuts, Chapter I:

* Passion underlies talent. Feed your passions, and your skills will grow like bamboo.

* Trying to see with the eyes can sometimes limit the mind’s infinite receptivity. The solution sometimes appears in the stillness of the dark.

* When someone keeps blabbering nonsense, nonstop, over and over, making you want to stretch your ears to the opposite side of your head, you unflinchingly interrupt and, very politely, say:
“Ok… Now SHUT UP, and SAY something!”

* Being a professional is not only about knowing your craft and tools, although this is imperative. It is also about being a genuinely desirable person to be with. This will aid one’s skills in ramming through any closed door.

* Heavy Metal is one of the best therapies I’ve ever found. It’s pure Universe.
GRRROOOWWWWWLLLLL!!!!!!

* When you want something that you know is right for you to have, ask for it shamelessly, like an order.

* I want to be an Alchemist: turn shit to gold.
(After reading Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist”)

* I believe we are the only species that, if completely removed from Earth at our present conscious level, would not be missed at all by any other.
Except for maybe a few dogs. Then they’d get over it in a week.

* It’s hard to have patience when one doesn’t know what’s happening.
(Hint: take the time to find out, and it’ll be smoooth.)

* All the greats in any field seem to be able to slow down time to a speed at which they control the pieces of their game so masterfully that the rest of us can only watch long after they’ve done it.
(How, and in what areas, should I magnify time?)

* Watch yourself doing those things that don’t serve you.
How do they feel?
How do you look?
And…
What would you say to someone else who was doing the exact, same thing???

* Anyone who cares about my age or weight more than I do should go find a fucking hobby.

* Moving forward?
Keep walking.

* It’s strange that without Heavy Metal my images would not be what they are.
Strange.

* Why photography??? Didn’t we just see the damn thing a moment ago?!?

* Life is a parody of itself.

* My stapler makes me want to staple. I love that crunch.

* The old Me still pops up to resist the new Me.
What a dumbass!

* Typing the word opinion quickly and without looking requires an accomplished pianist.

* There are no issues when there is no time to waste.
And there is no time to waste.
So what’s the issue?

So, to close up for now:
Do you keep a book in which you write down striking thoughts, unintended jokes, spontaneous insights, and other fleeting experiences?

If you do, you know what it feels like.
If you don’t, then consider getting one and carrying it with you. Find a pen or pencil that gives your hand an orgasm as you immortalize your thoughts into delicious curves on paper. Then, whenever you think of something worth keeping as a later reminder or for sharing with someone else, jot it down with that pen or pencil on your book or pad. You can even give one out as a present for someone you know (hint: Christmas is coming up soon!).

Going through the mere motions of stopping at a thought, whether pleasant or unpleasant, and reflecting upon it, and then taking a moment to write it down, as trivial as it may seem, opens a door to introspection and evaluation of what’s going on in our mind at that moment. This simple act can give us a clearer view of any situation we’re involved in and, if nothing else, can allow us a moment of well-deserved stillness of mind.

Going back to what we’ve recorded earlier can also give us insights into who we have been in the past, and can unearth clues that we can reinterpret and apply in the present. When reading some of these old notes I realize that some of them are bigger epiphanies than I had considered when I originally put them on paper.

These can be shared later or kept private. Write nonetheless. Of course, when we open our thoughts to others we can risk looking like our heads are coming out from behind our legs, but we also find that new alliances can form from the shattered silence of common human issues.
I share these with you because I was born with my head there anyway.

Now is your turn:
Close your eyes.
Listen.
Then leave that thought below.

Make it fresh.
Make it genuine.
Make it stupid.

Let’s have fun.

Stay Conscious,
Carli.

PS – How many of you actually tried typing opinon?

Hello again.
My apologies for the long wait for this post. I’ll do my best to keep this one short and… sweet?

It’s hard to look away from the frustration that has followed the controversial economic breakdown in the US and the subsequent “bailout” that was granted to attempt to fix the mess with taxpayer money. The US presidential campaign circus is at its peak, we’ll all soon be game to the advertising frenzy of Christmas shopping season, and news outlets keep dishing out tension everywhere we turn. It seems like so many things are going awry at present, and sometimes we feel a wave of helplessness come over us.

Often it can be difficult to stay levelheaded through the ubiquitous – and frequently negative – media blizzard. After all, how is one to respond to all the crap that is happening around us that we wish weren’t so?

The next statement may seem be a bit disconcerting at first, but consider it nonetheless. The real discomfort inside each of us in light of all this is not caused by a particular event itself, but rather by the resistance we build up inside when considering the situation. We don’t like what is happening and at times feel bitter about and even want to find someone to blame for it.

Our point of view on any subject that we feel negatively about can be helped by shifting our focus, like a photographer changes the position of the camera to get a different view of the scene. When a new perspective is taken on, our internal experience of it is different, even though the situation out there may still be the same. Our emotions depend on what point of view we take on, and that point of view is a choice, whether conscious or unconscious. When we trade blame or anxiety for a conscious look at how we’re seeing the matter, we are free to find new ways of seeing the world that will guide us in the direction we want in order to improve our situation.

When we’re blaming or fearing something our body pays the price at a molecular level and our thoughts get clouded by doubt and impossibility. Whatever is within our field of influence also suffers. We get clumsy, our spirits drop, and our performance leaves a lot to be wished for. We can use that same amount of time instead to find a way to get through it. Since every moment of our lives is lived in a certain state of mind, can we choose one that will help us become stronger than circumstance?

The answer, of course, is yes. It may not be easy at the beginning, as it is like learning any skill. Even if we’re not successful the first time, adopting the habit of noticing whenever we feel negative and then resetting our sights frees up a lot of tension that otherwise keeps us stuck in the blame and fear rut. This may not happen right away, but when we hold our focus on a possible solution, at least one will appear sooner or later. Instead of saying “freaking maverick, greedy Wall Street assholes”, trade that description for “this is a more complicated situation than before, so I’m going to focus on how I’ll manage through it”. We can always ask others for (constructive) suggestions as well, but the important thing is to keep our focus north of the issue. When we use language in a different way to describe the same thing the way we feel about it will change.

This is not to say that no one is responsible for the economy to have come to its present condition, or that your coworker did not make that uncomfortable remark about you. Nonetheless, an internal shift of focus helps to put each of us in a clearer place that allows us to make the best choices for ourselves and those around us. This can help to improve any situation, while blame and avoidance will not.

Whenever you feel discomfort, zoom out of the situation and you’ll have a much broader choice of views to take. This is intertwined with our last post about change, and it also brings personal accountability into the mix in a tangible way. And boy, do we need that right now!

Input comes in.
I feel bad about it.
I notice my resistance.
I zoom out and refocus.
My internal experience improves.

Keep this in mind and play with it.
It can help any problem get lighter.
Sweet!

Stay Conscious,
Carli.

Sound like Yoda, mean to I did not.
(If you haven’t seen Star Wars, never mind. Then again, in which galaxy have you been?)

In order to establish a foundation for the next few posts that I’m considering to write, let’s first discuss a very basic view about a fundamental, yet too often overlooked, fact of life whose disregard I believe underlies most, if not all, of Life’s troubles and misfortunes. It is the factor of constant, ever present change.

Change, we could argue, is a synonym for Life itself. In our Universe (are there any others?), nothing is ever in a state of stillness. Everything that exists as matter, energy, or thought (all of which are, in essence, energy) is constantly shifting, morphing, withering, or regenerating. Expansion and contraction have, ubiquitously, forever been, and forever will continue to be.

We may disagree with this premise if we come solely from the standpoint of our limited, bodily senses, and say, for example, that the book on the far left on the second shelf has not moved in three years. It’s exactly the way grandma left it there during Timmy’s eighth birthday party. Look at the dust that has collected on it! This may be so, that its position relative to the shelf has not changed, at least from a human eye’s point of view. However, if we look through a microscope at the molecular structure of its pages, we will find that chemical reactions with the atmosphere have occurred, albeit not yet perceivable to our naked eyes. We could also perceive changes in its composition through our sense of smell if we had a nose as sensitive as, say , a dog’s. And we can also say that in those three years during which the book has not moved from that shelf it has traveled around the sun three times.

Life, the Universe, is constant change.
Everything is moving.
∞ Always ∞
Whatever conforms to this ever present transformation continues to live.
Whatever fails to adapt to the ebb and flow of this endless sea of perpetual motion begins to dissolve and ceases to be.
It is, plainly, as simple as that.

There is also evidence, as documented by notable physicists the World over, that the Universe itself is accelerating. As this multidimensional latticework that contains and is made up of everything continues to expand infinitely (space) and eternally (time), the rate at which it so does keeps getting faster and faster. Speed feeds on itself. The details of these findings are beyond the scope of this post, but suffice it to conclude that change comes upon – or rather, flows through – us at an ever-increasing rate.

OK… so what’s your point?

Regarding the present situation of the world, everything is getting “better and better, worse and worse, faster and faster”, as Jim Garrison, President and Founder of the State of the World Forum, has candidly put it. Our species has in recent years reached a spike in its development and thus come speeding at an imminent crossroads. This, of course, has implications that permeate everything we do in one form or another. Failure to realize and act upon this immediately can degrade the quality of life in several ways at an individual and familial level, whether presently noticeable or not. At a national and global level, inaction can progressively cause more weather inconsistencies, drying of fertile land, melting of the poles, unnecessary hunger, violence due to poverty, and economic instability, among other drastic situations.

That is the bad news.

The good news is, ironically, the same situation, as seen from a different point of view.

This evolutionary spike, especially in terms of technological advancement, has already endowed us humans with the ability to either serve a sweeping demise to our own race as well as to thousands of other species on the Planet, or construct a magnificent civilization of interconnectedness, abundance, and longevity never before seen or even believed possible. This acceleration of everything has this far spun a rapid, simultaneous progression and regression across the Globe, evidenced by opposite extremes like a rising amount of human conflict versus new alliances, melting ice caps versus reforestation in some sectors, declarations of war versus expanding spiritual growth movements, among other seemingly contradictory situations. Given this acceleration of change, a moment will come when something will have to give. Something must pop. Although nobody can predict exactly when this will happen, it is clear that it will not take very long.

So, what do we do?
Or more specifically, what changes can I begin to make today that will contribute to the upward flow of this current?
And what do I need to let go of in order to ready myself and help my fellow humans to get on the right track?

The mere act of asking these questions will bring answers. And heeding these answers can only begin as a glimpse of courage in the mind. Then, out of that courage a choice is made to act on that answer.

The solution can only come from within each individual, and as a direct result of a conscious shift in our own definition of what I’m here for and what my place in Life is. Sure, governments and corporations can make significant policy changes that could trigger a massive ecological, economic, and social improvement wave across the Planet, but why would they do it now when they are doing just fine, from their point of view? What will it take for the so-called “big players” to become aware of the consequences of their actions?

The answer is simple.
It will take our awareness of the consequences of our own actions for the shift toward the positive to happen. When each individual becomes responsible for what s/he is creating at home, at work, while commuting, s/he is then capable of knowing which actions will help us evolve and which will dig us a deeper hole. When we perceive beyond our physical senses in the same manner that we see beyond that mere book sitting on the shelf, we begin to see new possibilities of what we can create. When I believe that I can use my intention to create a change in the world around me is when I begin to exercise my purpose so that we all move in the right direction. This is true Power.

Albert Einstein said, “the significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them.” This clearly tells us that we must rise above our current situation, overcome the fear of this ever present change (which is, after all, all that we am), and adapt to and act upon what we know will give us a long-lived civilization in harmony with a healthy, life supporting ecosystem. In this Universe, nothing and no one is ever in a state of stillness and therefore we are, at any given instant, either progressing or regressing. Living by conscious choice is the only way that we will get and stay on our feet.

And yes, we can read this and think, “yeah, they have to become conscious of what they’re doing! It’s the public’s responsibility!” Beware. This voice removes “me” from “the public”, proclaiming “me” innocent and apart from the game. This is the voice we must look out for, as it speaks from the level of thinking that created the problem. “The public” is a bunch of “mes”, and each “me” is as accountable as any other.
This evolutionary shift begins with me, the reader, this human being living on Earth.
And it begins right now.

Together is the way toward a sustainable civilization.
WeAmOne, remember?

What changes can I begin to make today?
What do I need to let go of?
Ask the questions. The answers will come.

Stay Conscious,
Carli.

Welcome all to launch time at WeAmOne.
Our purpose in creating this forum is to bring together those of us who are not only looking for, but finding answers to questions of a higher magnitude than “cabernet or malbec?” and somehow continue to rake up more inquiries along the way. We intend to provide, through our posts and your comments, some insight into what this stream of unstoppable change widely known as Life is all about and motivation to continue to grow as individuals and, consequently, as the infinitely powerful species we are barely waking up to be.

Our title comes from an almost accidental twist in grammar that I stumbled upon not long ago while attempting to describe the delightfully intimate relationship between my girlfriend Carmen and me. The phrase has turned out to imply much more than the grammatically correct version of saying almost the same thing. It just makes sense. A recovering perfectionist, I chose to keep this “mistake”, even through the initial reaction to nip it because it was “incorrect grammar”. In recent years I’ve learned, at a conscious level, that serendipity and a certain amount of chaos have allowed, time and again, for many great ideas to come about. This is just one of the principles we will see and use throughout this forum. So, the statement “We am one” was put on my list of phrases and ideas to use publicly at some point, and when Carmen recently suggested during a brainstorming session that this could be the name for the blog, bells went off, and so the overwhelming, unanimous decision of 2 to 0 was made.

The premise of this forum is simple, and just two degrees of influence beyond the two-person relationship for which its name initially came into being: we ALL live on one Planet, breathe in one atmosphere, eat and drink from one worldly harvest, and interact, whether knowingly or unaware, with one biosphere that contains, nurtures, and depends on ALL of us. Perceived human diversity notwithstanding – all the various cultures, religions, economic models, points of view, professional paths, favorite sports teams, etc. – we all share the same basic principles, wishes, and needs.

We are not us and them.
We are You and I.
WeAmOne
with no s p a c e s in between.

And so, without further ado… Here We Am.

I have thought of so many topics with which to kick off this blog that it has been difficult to just choose one and type away. Here are but a few that have crossed my mind: change; resistance and discomfort; my background; how we create and can mold our reality (huge topic!); interpersonal relationships (intimate and otherwise); why are we here?; unnoticed intellectual absence and semiconscious “living”; serendipity; knowing vs. knowing; the individual’s and the collective’s role in the climate crisis; gratitude; what is killing you (but at least you know it) vs. dropping it for what you’re passionate about (but have no clue how it will turn out) – a.k.a. cold feet, fear of the unknown, fear of success or failure; procrastination; obedience and conformity; the underrated and overlooked importance of developing one’s awareness; why some people love TV (and why others could not care less); skepticism about personal development…

Whew! So how am I to choose from all of these? Well, the answer just came to me, and it’s very simple. I’m not going to. You are.

So, you’ll have to pitch in your own three cents when you’re done reading this. It’s easy and quick:

Write a comment below mentioning any topic(s) that you’d like to read about, whether mentioned above or not. No suggestion is too dumb. Just please keep it within the thematic scope of this forum. We will not write about the bowel cycles of blacksmithing heretics before the Inquisition, as we frankly don’t care. Your relevant comments will help us tremendously in terms of knowing what the interests of our readers are so that you’ll have an active part in this and stay motivated to come back.

Second, subscribe to this feed by clicking on the button under the blog’s title so that you’ll know when we’ve popped a fresh bun out of the oven. Our system is not too sophisticated at the moment, so unfortunately we can’t yet automatically email everyone interested after each new post. If you’re technically challenged (like us) you can simply write in your calendar to check back with us in about a week.

Finally, share this with everyone you think may be even remotely interested in this. Forget about “Well, s/he might get something out of this but maybe I’ll look like a new age fluffer, or s/he may think that I think there’s something wrong with ‘em and should get it fixed”. Whatever. Just get them here and leave it up to us to catch their attention. You won’t look bad for recommending this page. Ok, maybe you will, but you won’t look any worse than us, who came up with it! Let’s grow this crop! Bring your friends, and especially your foes! As the Chinese general Sun-Tzu said, “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer”.

With this I’ll let you go for now. We’ll prepare the next post as soon as we have enough intelligent feedback on which to build it or whenever spontaneous inspirational combustion strikes next, whichever comes first.

Check the recommended links on the left toolbar every time you come in, as we’ll be changing them periodically. They’re resources that we have found to be inspiring, life-changing, or both. And remember to stretch routinely while you’re on your computer. Take 2 minutes to do it right now, while you mentally process your comments. Get up! I just did.

Thank Yous for coming. We are delighted to be building and expanding this community with you.

Stay Conscious,
